The experience
Instead of browsing photos and waiting days for a response, you'll meet the pet over video — live, from the foster home, with the person who's lived with them for weeks or months.
15 minutes.
That's all it takes. The foster introduces the pet. You ask questions. You see how they move, react, and play. If it feels right, the foster can say yes on the call. No committee. No waiting.
From your couch to a new family member.
Four steps, no shelter visit, no weeks of waiting, no figuring out transport on your own.
Browse pets with upcoming live hours
Each pet has a profile — personality, the kind of home they need, and a 1–2 hour window when their foster is available for video calls.
Pick a 15-minute slot
Answer a few quick questions about your living situation and timeline, then book a time that works for you. No application form. No waiting days for a response.
Meet the pet — live from their foster home
Join a video call. The foster introduces the pet in their real environment. You see how they move, react, and play. Ask anything — the foster knows this pet best.
Commit on the spot — we handle the rest
If it's a match, the foster tells you on the call. You complete the paperwork, and Wag On Home coordinates transport to your door. If it's not the right fit, the foster can suggest another pet.
This isn't scrolling Petfinder at midnight.
Meeting a pet over video, with their foster, in their real home — that's fundamentally different from photos and applications.

Live Hours are coming soon.
We're starting with a pilot — one rescue, a few pets, a few hours a week. Sign up and we'll let you know the moment live hours open in the Chicago and Milwaukee area. No spam, just a heads-up when there's a pet to meet.
Adoption events work. Live eyeballs on live pets.
You already know the magic of an adoption event — live eyeballs on live pets, and the right ones go home. Live Hours gives you that same result without the venue, the Saturday, or moving the dogs: your foster opens a window, an adopter meets the pet on video, and you make the call. If you'd like your pets in the pilot — or have ideas to make it work better — we want to hear from you.
