Frequently asked questions.
Straight answers for rescue and transport leaders sizing us up.
What is Wag On Home?
Wag On Home is a paperless coordination platform for rescue pet transports. It replaces scattered texts, spreadsheets, and paperwork with one shared workspace where rescues, shelters, and transport providers plan runs, track pet readiness, share manifests, and confirm handoffs.
How much does it cost?
Signing up is free, and browsing or planning never costs anything. Nominal charges apply only when pets are actually delivered using Wag On Home's tools.
Who is it for?
Rescue and transport leaders of every size: animal rescues, shelters, small transport operations, owner-operators, and large carriers alike. The more providers on the platform, the more pets get home.
What kinds of transports are supported?
Shelter-to-rescue, rescue-to-rescue, and rescue-to-adopter runs — with clear planning across sending, receiving, and delivery roles on every route.
How do I check a state’s pet-transport requirements?
We maintain a free, regularly updated State transport requirements reference — CVI windows, rabies thresholds, entry permits, and the unique requirements for all 50 states, sourced from each state’s official animal-health office. Look for it in the Resources library.
Is the platform live today?
Wag On Home is in early access. You can sign up now to explore and tell us what matters most to you — there's no production support yet, and we'll notify you the moment features are ready.
What comes after transport?
Transport is our first focus area. From there, Wag On Home expands into adoption support — building toward end-to-end rescue support on one platform.
