  • Struggling to breathe; unresponsive or seizing
  • Severe bleeding, or a deep or bleeding bite
  • Suspected poisoning (chewed something toxic)
  • A fall, stepped on, dropped, crushed or hit by a car
  • Swollen belly, or retching with nothing coming up
  • Overheating
  • If a person is hurt, call 911
